DIMAPUR — Vizokhotuo Soukhrie and Lutsierho Pojar were crowned Mr. and Miss Freshers 2023 during the freshers’ meet of Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur, which was held on July 29 at Bernick Hall, under the theme ‘beginning of a new journey to learning’.
The guest speaker for the occasion was the director of the college, Rev. V A Thomas, who encouraged the students to be focused and receptive as there will be many hurdles and challenges to overcome, opportunities to explore, and successes to be seen in their futures.
Kitelo Thono of the 5th semester, a member of the Faith in Action Martial Arts Academy that entered the Guinness World Records for the ‘highest martial arts kick (assisted)’, was also felicitated on the occasion.
During the programme, Dr. Fr. Paul Punii, the principal of the college, presented the annual college report for 2022–23. The event concluded with friendly volleyball and basketball matches between the freshers and the seniors.
