Assam Rifles carries out healthcare camps, blood donation, and civic programmes in Nagaland.

DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles carried out a series of humanitarian assistance, medical relief, youth engagement, and civic outreach initiatives across multiple locations in Nagaland.
In Kohima district, Nagaland Civil Service (NCS) probationers visited Chieswema as part of their familiarisation programme. The probationers paid their respects at the Sarva Dharma Sthal, attended a presentation on Operation Sindoor, and visited the Battalion Intelligence Cell and Regimental Quarter Guard to learn about the force's functioning and traditions.
According to an update, they inspected a weapons display and interacted with students at the Capt. N Kenguruse Centre of Excellence and Wellness.
In Kiphire, personnel donated blood for a 90-year-old man in critical need of a transfusion at the District Hospital, Kiphire. The timely blood donation supported the elderly patient during his medical treatment.

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day observed across Nagaland
Assam Rifles also rendered medical assistance to a 70-year-old burn victim in Longleng on October 9. The resident had sustained burn injuries to his right leg, right foot, and the right side of his abdomen. Medical staff of COB Longleng conducted an initial assessment and administered treatment to stabilise the individual.
The medical team conducted screenings, provided treatment, and dispensed medicines. Another dental camp was held at Longmatra village in Kiphire district on October 9, where 45 patients received free examinations, treatment, and refreshments.
At COB Kukidolong, a yoga session was organised on October 10 to observe World Mental Health Day. The session highlighted the role of yoga in mindfulness, stress reduction, and emotional balance, pointing out that mental health is an essential component of overall health alongside physical fitness.
In Pungro, Kiphire district, Assam Rifles organised a friendly football match on October 10 involving students of Government Middle School and local residents. A total of 40 participants, including Assam Rifles personnel, took part in the sporting event aimed at promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, and community relations.
