NGBF lauds President Murmu
Dimapur, Nov. 3 (EMN): The Nagaland GBs’ Federation (NGBF) expressed gratitude to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, stating that her second visit to Nagaland within a span of few months reflected her deep concern and love for the Naga people. The federation also acknowledged the effort made by the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, on the Naga political issue during the President's reception programme. The federation appreciated Rio for his genuine concern for an early solution to the Naga political issue. The federation further expressed hope that something positive would emerge from her visit to Nagaland.
Patton conveys Apikimti greetings
Dimapur, Nov. 3 (EMN): Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has, on behalf of state BJP legislators, greeted the Sumi community on the occasion of Apikimti. The deputy CM in his greetings said that both old and young people take part in the festival that lasts usually for two days in merry making and feasting.

Dimapur, Nov. 3 (EMN): The Gorkha Public Panchayat, Kohima (GPPK) has condoled the demise of Zakie Khate, former president of Angami Students’ Union (ASU), who passed away on October 31. “He was a humble and inspiring student leader who was also associated with Gorkhas of Kohima. The GPPK remembers him at this hour of grief for all that he had contributed in different forms to the Gorkha community of Kohima,” GPPK in a condolence message stated.
JMC observes vigilance week
Dimapur, Nov. 3 (EMN): Jubilee Memorial College (JMC), Mokokchung, observed the Vigilance Awareness Week on November 3. An update informed that the school principal, Dr. Imtiwati Jamir, read out the pledge and the students took the oath to be vigilant and work towards the eradication of corruption. I Narola Jamir, post master, Nagaland division, gave a brief introduction about the vigilance awareness week programme, it stated.
