Dimapur, May 23 (EMN): The Tizu Valley Biodiversity and Livelihood Network comprising of three villages namely Sukhai, Ghukhuyi, and Kivikhu under Zunheboto district received a National Biodiversity Authority award 2018 under the category of sustainable use of biological resources (institution). This was informed in a press release received on Wednesday from the team leader of the group.
The group extended its appreciation to the National Biodiversity Authority’ department Forest and Climate Change, Government of Nagaland; district forest officer Zunheboto; Gef- Satoyama Initiatives (CI ), Japan; The Energy Resources Institute Teri; and the Titli Trust.
It also thanked the Teri for recommending them for the award and stakeholders of three villages for cooperation and support.
