DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, on Wednesday at the DC conference hall in Zunheboto.
The meeting began with a recap of the previous session, followed by the distribution of tasks and assignments to different departments for the forthcoming Independence Day celebration in the district, according to a DIPR report.
Exhorting the members, the DC reiterated the need for sincere cooperation from all concerned heads of departments and their teams to ensure the grand success of the celebration.
Major Praveen Salotra of the 11th Battalion, Assam Rifles, gave a presentation on de-addiction, measures for tackling drug abuse, various rehabilitation centres, and other resources related to drug abuse.
During the discussion on the agenda for the renewal of societies, Sumi Baptist Church, Zunheboto, was recommended following a brief discussion by the members.
The board also discussed the upcoming inter-departmental tournament for the year and finalised the dates as September 17–20. The tournament will include three events: badminton, carrom, and penalty shootout.
