Zunheboto DPDB approves new school, upgrades

DIMAPUR — The monthly Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for September was held on Wednesday at the DC conference hall, under the chairmanship of MLA and DPDB chairman Picto Shohe and DC Zunheboto Rahul Bhanudas Mali.

While addressing the board members, Shohe urged the heads of departments to continue executing their responsibilities vigorously and extended his best wishes to all participants and the organising team for the successful conduct of the upcoming inter-departmental tournament, scheduled to be held from September 12 to the 14th, according to a DIPR report.

The agenda discussed and approved for further procedures during the meeting included the establishment of Bright Wave School at Tokiye town, the upgrade of Government Middle School Asukhuto town to government high school, the upgrade of Government High School Suruhuto town to government higher secondary school, the upgrade of Government Primary School Yehemi to government middle school, a request for road repair and construction at New Colony, Zunheboto, and the establishment of a new State Bank of India branch at Atoizu.

After deliberation on the agendas, a PowerPoint presentation on its activities was given by district horticulture officer Along.
