DIMAPUR — With an aim to help the HIV/AIDS infected children as well as to create awareness and break stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS, the You Are Not Alone (YANA), a non-profit governmental organisation, has decided to organise a charity event on July 20 at the Heritage, Old DC Bungalow in Kohima from 2 pm onwards.

Burakum Ao informed that YANA was formed in 2023 with an objective to help the HIV/AIDS infected people. He stated that the first event would be held on July 20 from 4 pm onwards with the deputy commissioner of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, as the chief guest.

He informed that the entry fee would be free and added that food stalls, beverages, arts and crafts exhibitions would be set up at the venue.

Artistes line-up for the evening included Sentiein Kichu, Kivito, Keneisenuo Sorhie, KL Pamei, Moko Koza and DJ Ina.

He informed that there would also be fashion show displaying the designs of HM by HM Hmingmawii from Meghalaya and Sheli Chishi from Nagaland. He added that many beauty queens and models would take part in the fashion show with Ruopfuzhano Whiso as the host.

Kenei Ritse informed that YANA charity event has three main objectives. She stated that the proceeds from charity event would be donated to children infected with HIV/AIDS. The event would also create awareness through musicians and beauty pageants and to break the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDs.
