Xbox’s newest update brings back Twitch streaming functionality
Dimapur, Feb. 23 (EMN): Microsoft just dropped a new update today that will allow Xbox players to stream their games to Twitch directly from their console’s dashboard.
The company was reportedly testing the new feature in October and today’s update brings Twitch integration to the Xbox dashboard back since 2017.
Microsoft had removed Twitch integration from Xbox following the company’s debut stint at live-streaming with Mixer. However, Mixer couldn’t live up to the hype and was shut down soon after.
Creating on Twitch is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Needless to say, Xbox players were left without a truly integrated live-streaming option. They had to rely on the Twitch app for streaming purposes but it was not the most efficient way to do. The new update promises to change all that by providing a seamless integration with the Xbox console.
Players need to just link their Twitch account from the Xbox system guide. After linking their account, players can choose the “go live now” option to start broadcasting directly from their console.
The new Twitch integration will be available for both Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X consoles starting today.
