WWF donates vehicles for wildlife patrolling in Assam

DIPHU — The World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-India donated three vehicles to the Forest divisions of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong for wildlife patrolling purposes.

The vehicles, Bolero Campers, were flagged off by Tuliram Ronghang, Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), at the CEM Bungalow on Thursday. They were donated to the Dokmoka range, Silonijan range of the East Forest Division, and Hamren Division.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by executive members D. Uphing Maslai and Ritesh Enghi, along with members of the autonomous council (MAC) Avijit Kro, Ritish Enghi, Phenpiga Rengma, and MLA Bidyasing Engleng.

WWF-India Senior Project Officer Trideep Sarmah, senior landscape coordinator Dr. Pranab Jyoti Bora and forest officials were also present at the event.
