DIMAPUR — The Wokha district administration, as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, collaborated with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Research Complex for North Eastern Hill (NEH) Region, Nagaland Centre, and ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Wokha, to organise a one-day workshop on agripreneurship at Bhandari Town Hall on Thursday.
According to a DIPR report, Longdiba Sangtam, the additional deputy commissioner of Bhandari, speaking on the occasion, thanked the resource persons from various departments for their invaluable contributions to the workshop.
The workshop featured Dr. Aabon W. Yanthan, scientist (Horticulture Vegetable Science) and Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) Centre in-charge, Nagaland; Moaakum Pongen from ICAR-KVK, Wokha; Anuranjan Singh, project manager at Shishoi Oshom-ETF Cell, Wokha; and Achio Kikon, district manager, CSC.
It also had representatives from the Horticulture and Agriculture departments.
The workshop witnessed participation from 50 young individuals from the Bhandari area who gained insights into sustainable agricultural practices, business management, and community welfare.
