DIMAPUR — A plantation campaign was conducted on Saturday morning at the new DC office site in Wokha to support the initiative launched by the Prime Minister, “Plant 4 Mother” or “EK Ped Ma Ke Nam,” which aims to contribute towards environmental sustainability.
The plantation drive was led by DC Wokha Vineet Kumar, accompanied by the district forest officer. Staff from the District Forest Office, District Welfare Office, AE, CAWD, and DC office took part in the drive, according to a DIPR report.
As part of the event, more than 300 different kinds of saplings were planted during the day.
