DIMAPUR — The Ward 21 Welfare Committee has issued notification to all commercial and business establishments for strict adherence within its jurisdiction.

The committee press release issued by its convenor, D Jonah Achumi, and the secretary, Omega G Naga, stated that no trash or garbage should ever be disposed off into drains or by the road side. It has urged the commercial establishments not to store things, post signs or display goods that hinder foot traffic on the walkway.

The committee has also forbidden obstructing footpaths, impeding public right-of-way or make parking challenging. Business establishments are also asked to cover the cracked drain cover slabs in front of their shops/stores before the appropriate authorities restore the broken/cracked drainage slabs in order to avoid trash from entering into the drain and blocking water flow.

The committee further prohibited dubious business unions and organisations to conduct business or generate funds within its jurisdiction.
