Wangkhao Government College establishes mini library

DIMAPUR — The literary committee of Wangkhao Government College established a mini library at Chi village in Mon district as part of the college’s extension work to foster reading habits among learners of all ages.

According to a press release, this was spearheaded by the literary committee with assistance received from the Department of Art and Culture Department, Mon, the Public Health Engineering Department, Mon and from well-wishers.

“The committee believes that this small spark will one day turn into a movement of reading among many,” it read.

It was further informed that during the inauguration of the library, a dedicatory prayer was pronounced by the pastor of Chi village and the principal of the college, Dr. T Chandrasekharan, attended the programme as special guest.

Chandrasekharan encouraged the residents of Chi village in his speech to promote reading among school-going children and others.
