Two teens found dead in Thahekhu village

DIMAPUR — The bodies of two teenagers, both male, were found hanging from a tree in Thahekhu village on Sunday.

At around 8:00 am in the morning, a passerby discovered the bodies and immediately alerted the police, who arrived at the scene at around 9:00 am to retrieve the bodies.

Initial investigations revealed that the deceased were both 16-years-old and students of Class 6 at Government High School Thahekhu.

A relative of one of the deceased told reporters that there were no apparent issues at home. The deceased teenagers were reported to be close companions, and their sudden passing has left the families shocked.

Police have transported the bodies to District Hospital Dimapur for post-mortem examinations to determine the cause of death. An investigation is currently underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident, an officer said.
