Two colleges represent Nagaland at NSS Northeast festival
NSS volunteers from Nagaland during the NSS Northeast Festival in Agartala.

DIMAPUR — National Service Scheme (NSS) units of Mount Tiyi College in Wokha and C-Edge College in Dimapur represented Nagaland at the NSS Northeast Festival organised by the Tripura State NSS Cell, in collaboration with NSS Regional Directorate, Guwahati, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

An update stated that a total of 30 NSS volunteers and two programme officers namely Ekonbeni M Tsanglao and Ikato Zhimo from Nagaland attended the camp held in Agartala, Tripura, from September 23 to the 27th.

It stated that Solanthung Ngullie from Mount Tiyi College, Wokha, won the best volunteer award among 300 NSS volunteers from northeastern states who attended the camp.

It added that the festival created a deep bond between the different states which was not only valuable and extraordinary but also an occasion to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, vibrant traditions and breath taking diversity.

It further stated that the festival not only showcased the unique identity but also fostered unity and solidarity among the sister states of the northeast.
