DIMAPUR — College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (CoVSc and AH), Jalukie, Peren district, organised a five-day training programme on frontline practical demonstration on poultry farming from November 19 to the 23rd.
The training programme was designed to improve knowledge and skills among poultry farmers on scientific poultry farming practices in the region, an update stated.
The training included adoption of improved poultry breeds and specific managemental techniques to enhanced productivity and profitability for participating farmers, thereby strengthening poultry farming community and upscaling of backyard poultry farming.
The programme was jointly organised by CoVSc and AH, Jalukie and ICAR-Central Avian Research Institute, Barielly (UP) under the project ‘Evaluation of CARI improved Germplasm in NEH region and its popularisation under the aegis of ICAR-NEH scheme.’
