Training on piggery and poultry farming underway in Chozuba

DIMAPUR — A four-day training for women on improved piggery and poultry farming, organised by the department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, got underway in Chozuba under Phek district on Wednesday.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Pusazono Chusi, deputy director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, who is also assistant sector officer of women welfare development, while Dr. Rosou Pohena, VAS of Pfutsero, spoke on women empowerment through improved piggery and poultry farming.

Dr. Esther Krocha, deputy chief veterinary officer and in-charge of CVO, Phek, chaired the programme, while Dr. Khrusato Keyho, farm manager of CBF, Phek, delivered the vote of thanks.

The programme was sponsored by the National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi.
