Training on expanded package of services for ANMs held in Longleng
DIMAPUR — A four-day training on expanded package of services under Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) for ANMs of health and wellness centres (HWCs) was held from October 7 to the 10th at the CMO conference hall, Longleng.
According to an update from CMO office, Longleng, the training extensively covered the 12 expanded package of services to be provided through the health and wellness centres.
The services include screening, prevention, control and management of non communicable diseases, encompassing reproductive and child health, adolescent health, oral health, eye care, ENT, emergency care, mental neurological and substance use (MNS), elderly care, palliative care services and cold and heat exposure care, much beyond the existing RMNCH+A services.
Following the TOTs, the district TOTs trained the ANMs on the expanded package of services and appealed the nurses present to ensure quality health care to all citizens by transforming public health care delivery system within the district.
