Throttle Thrust VI ends on thrilling note in Mangmetong village
MOKOKCHUNG — Throttle Thrust VI, a high-octane motorsport event organised by Spearhead Motorsport Initiative (SMI), concluded on a thrilling note at Mangmetong village on November 2.
The event, marking SMI’s 10th anniversary, was attended by Dr. Watizulu Suzumeren Jamir, chairman of the Development Authority of Nagaland, as the chief guest.
In his speech, Dr. Jamir emphasised the unifying power of sports, describing it as a realm that transcends judgments and prejudices.
“Motorsports is thrilling yet risky… and builds self-confidence,” he said.
SMI president Meren Tzudir expressed gratitude to supporters, highlighting the club’s evolution over the past decade. “In these ten years, we haven’t just built a club; we’ve built a family,” he said, while encouraging the motorsport community to “keep racing forward together.”
Final results of the Second North-East Championship 2023-2024 was also declared at the event. The championship spanned two main categories – SUV and car.

SUV category: Champion – Ana Solo, First Runner-up – Lanusunep, Second Runner-up – Kamalesh Das, Third Runner-up – Andy Donald Mawrie, Fourth Runner-up – Among Jamir.
Car category: Champion – Kima Jamir, First Runner-up – Kamalesh Das and Lanusunep Jamir, Second Runner-up – Ana Solo, Third Runner-up – Andy Donald Mawrie, Fourth Runner-up: Tomito.

Special achievements: Fastest timing in Stage 1 – Thezieu Kire, Fastest timing in Stage 2 – Kima Jamir, Throttle Titans Award (Team with most participants) – Adventure and Motorsport Association, Mokokchung, with 8 participants.
