Dimapur, April 29 (EMN): Three tribal organisations including Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO), Kachari Tribal Union Nagaland (KTUN) and Dimapur Garo Union Nagaland (DGUN) under Chümoukedima district have affirmed to uphold their friendship in the greater cause of the society.
The affirmation to uphold friendship among the tribal organisations was made during the ‘friendship coordination meet’ held in Urra village on Saturday. An update from CPO joint secretary, Thejangukho Yalietsu, stated that a large number of leaders from CPO, CCCPO, GBs, KTUN, DGUN as well as leaders from nearby villages participated in the meeting and deliberated on numerous issues pertaining to the age old mutual friendship.
He stated that various speakers have affirmed the close association and relationship between the three tribal groups and further assured to uphold their friendship in the greater cause of the society.
The house further resolved to constitute a coordination committee, which would be entrusted to work for the welfare of their groups.
