The 2nd Tenyidie Music Festival and Music Award 2024 was held at Ura Academy Hall in Kohima on Nov. 15.

KOHIMA — An update issued on Saturday informed that the event was organised by Friendship Musician in collaboration with Ura Academy.

Roko Angami, OSD Sports, Department of Youth and Resource Development who graced the occasion as special guest emphasised the importance of honoring and preserving Tenyidie language and culture. He praised neighboring states for popularising their dialect while encouraging the audience to do the same.

The festival recognised outstanding musical talents in various categories.

The event featured performances by various artistes including Tenyidie students department, Jisu Shanti Dishe, Pesikeshü Kro-u, Seyie Interpid,Mhasikhotso Shüya, Ato Nienu, Visetuo Chüpuo, Zekuosa Zhale

 Vilavor Loucü, Neilaü Thaprü, Vikuyile Tase, Avinuo Metha and Methasieo Zhale.

The judges were Vizosietuo Neo and Ledi Sekhose.

The 2nd Tenyidie Music Festival and Music Award 2024 successfully promoted Tenyidie language, culture, and unity among the community.

1. Best Folk Fusion Song: Seyie Interpid (Oh Hiyo Keviu Vierhe)

2. Best Gospel Song: Neilaü Thaprü (Uzuonuo)

3. Best Love Song: Methasieo Zhale & Neilaü Thaprü (No a melou seketuopfü)

4. Best Music Video: Seyie Interpid – (Thute tho chele)

5. Best Lyrics: Vikuyile Tase (Kenei ketho)
