DIMAPUR — The Sümi Hoho organised a felicitation programme for the newly elected office bearers of the Sümi Totimi Hoho (STH) at Sümi Hoho Ki, Zunheboto, on Saturday.
The event was attended by representatives from the Sümi Hoho, Sümi Kükami Hoho, Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu, Sümi Youth Organisation, and elders of the community, stated a press release issued by the Sümi Hoho.
Sümi Hoho president I Nikheto Jimomi, in his address, extended greetings to the new STH team and encouraged them to continue the commendable work of their predecessors, with a special emphasis on the uplift of women in the society. He also stressed on the STH’s role in bringing positive change and development within the community.
STH president Vitoli Rochill expressed gratitude for the support and pledged to collaborate closely with the Sümi Hoho and its affiliated organisations. She assured her commitment to working for the welfare and advancement of the Sümi society, particularly focusing on women’s empowerment.
The program was chaired by Sümi Hoho vice president Hokishe Kiba. A special song was presented by Yetokali Ruth Rochill. Rev. Honito Chophi led a prayer for the new team, seeking divine wisdom and knowledge for their leadership.
The felicitation programme highlighted the community’s commitment to supporting its leaders and fostering an environment of cooperation and progress, the release stated.
