SDRF team fish out bodies of drowning victims
DIMAPUR — The body of 19-year-old Ekyothung Tsanglao—a drowning victim in a fishery pond at Seithekema village on September 8—was recovered on Monday
Commander of a State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team, Angukato K Yeptho, informed that they were able to retrieve the body at around 4:20 pm on Monday. Their task was made tougher as the pond, in some sections, was around 15 to 20 feet deep, he said.

As reported previously, the victim had gone for a swim with four other friends.
In another incident on September 8, a 13 year-old-boy was drowned in Dhansari River near Mao colony in Dimapur. His body was also retrieved by the SDRF team at around 8:30 am on Monday in the Ura Villa area.
In this instance also, the victim had gone with two of his friends for swimming in Dhansari at around 12 noon on September 8. It was informed that the boy was a resident of Metha colony in Dimapur.
