Sainik School Punglwa fetes Lieutenant Yepthomi

DIMAPUR — The principal, staff and fellow cadets of Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) have congratulated Lieutenant Hinoto Kakishe Yepthomi, a former cadet of the school, for being commissioned into the 104 Bombay Sappers Regiment of the Indian Army, on March 9.

The school, in an update, said that Cadet Yepthomi’s (Adm No. 368) journey began at Sainik School Punglwa, where he imbibed the values of discipline, integrity, and service.

As a student, Yepthomi consistently showcased qualities that define a true officer - honesty, accountability and unwavering determination, and that his “unwavering commitment and dedication have been nothing short of exemplary,” it said.

Earlier, after successfully clearing the Service Selection Board for SSC TECH entry, he started his training journey at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai, on April 2023.

His perseverance and resilience paid off as he emerged as a beacon of hope for aspiring young officers,” the update stated.

It went on to state that Yepthomi’s commissioning into the Indian Army is a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing leaders who serve with honour and valour.

“His journey from a diligent cadet to a commissioned officer inspires us all, reinforcing the belief that character and determination are the cornerstones of greatness,” it added.

The school further wished Yepthomi a distinguished and illustrious career in the service of the motherland.
