Dimapur, Oct. 5 (EMN): Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) president Roko Angami launched the official jersey and anthem of Ura Uvie FC on October 3 at L Viluo Fifa ProTurf, Meriema.
“There is no shortcut in sports,” he said while speaking at the launching programme.
He therefore challenged the sportspersons to place a lot of effort and sacrifices to excel in the field of sports.
He said that football is not just the one who kicks the ball, passes and run but there are lots of things behind a successful footballer.
He insisted that discipline, both within and outside the field, is an essential component to succeed in sports, an update stated.
He also challenged the players to take note that the hard work is the key to success.
“Self-control is the most important weapon for sportsperson,” he said and asked the sportspersons to ensure that they apply the same in their conduct.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Viketuno Hiekha while Seyiekhriezo Kezieo, CYE chairman, CRC Meriema invoked God blessings.
Asenuo Metha presented a special number while Aneizo Keditsu spoke from the management’s side.
Ura Uvie FC will be taking part in the forthcoming 22nd NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy 2022, starting from October 7 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
In its first match, Ura Uvie FC will face Kohima Dynamos FC on October 12.
