DIMAPUR — The Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) Phek, conducted a block level refresher training on the use of Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) for effective reporting under IDSP by all the reporting health units.
The trainees comprising of ANM and GNM were re- oriented on how to enter data in S Form, P Form and L Form using mobile application, an update stated.
The resource persons were Dr. Shevo Hiese, district surveillance officer, Dr. Limatoshi, epidemiologist and Kedupa Venuh, data manager.
The resource persons highlighted that IDSP reporting is a real time data reporting through mobile application and web portal accessible from all levels of health unit. Surveillance system for epidemic diseases is to detect the early warning signals so that timely and effective public health actions can be initiated in response to health challenges in the district, it stated.
Dr. Shevo highlighted and elaborated on the case definition in P Form on measles, diphtheria, dengue fever etc., while Dr. Limatoshi shared on the six types of diseases including Ebola, Nipah virus, Yellow fever, West Nile fever and MERS/COV/SARS Cov.
Kedupa presented on hoe to enter data efficiently in L Form, P Form and S Form. The overall training schedules were monitored by Zhovesulu, DEO and BPMs.
