Power department informs on prepaid recharge procedures
Dimapur, March 17 (EMN): Power department has informed all the pre-paid electricity consumers that the vending station (pre-paid recharge centre) located at Customer Care Centre (CCC) at Burma Camp and at Jain Temple Road, Marwari Patti, would operate from Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, while on Saturday from 9:30 am to 1 pm.
In a press release, the executive engineer of Dimapur electrical division, Y Akito Sema, reminded the prepaid consumers that it would be mandatory to obtain ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) for the subsequent recharge after the installation process of the prepaid meters. He added that initial recharge worth INR 500 would be provided in order to allow the consumers ample time to obtain NOC and update it in the prepaid portal for subsequent recharge.
He stated that the NOC would be issued to those consumers who have cleared all the outstanding arrears, if any, of the post paid meters. He added that unless NOC is produced at the vending station, subsequent recharge would not be possible either at the recharge centre or online.

Consumers opting to recharge online after obtaining NOC and registering its consumer number in the prepaid portal could login to prepaid.dopn.gov.in and recharge online. He further stated that consumers could also contact the official on phone no. 8415900400 for any query relating to prepaid recharge.
