DIMAPUR — An orientation programme was organised by Phek Government College for first-semester students on Thursday at Deo Nukhu Hall in the college premises.
According to a press release, the programme was chaired by Dr. Zhokusheyi Rhakho, with Seyielenuo Nisa, an assistant professor at Phek Government College, delivering the invocation. The principal, Dr. T Tiakaba Jamir, gave the welcome address.
During the programme, Vevolu Khamo, an assistant professor in the Department of Education, gave a brief talk on the norms and regulations of the institution.
Neiwe Mero and Dr. H. Atoholi Sema presented a brief outline of the New Education Policy (NEP) and the syllabus structure for the B.A. and B.Sc. programmes.
Students were also introduced to various existing clubs, cells, and committees, including NCC, NSS, Red Cross, Red Ribbon, literary and performing arts, skill development club, Science club, and mentoring.
