DIMAPUR — In commemoration of 50th anniversary of Phek district, the deputy commissioner of Phek informed that a mini marathon race measuring 7 km would be organised on December 13 for person from 18 years and above.
In this connection, the ADC of Chozuba, Imokokla, informed the interested participants under Chozuba sub-division to get registered between November 1 and 10 in its office along with documents for proof of age.
A DIPR report stated that the first three winners would receive cash award of INR 10,000, INR 7,000 and INR 5,000 respectively and five consolation prizes of INR 1,000 with certificate. The awards were sponsored by the department of Youth Resource and Sports.
The ADC also instructed all the village councils, educational institutions, youth organisations under Chozuba sub-division to disseminate the information in their respective jurisdiction for active participation in the marathon.
It further informed that the marathon race would be held in five locations namely Chizami, Chozuba, Meluri, Pfusero and Phek.
