DIMAPUR — Peren district bade farewell programme to its outgoing deputy commissioner and vice chairman of DPDB, Peren, Vineet Kumar, during a programme held at the DC’s conference hall on July 26.
Vineet Kumar, in his speech, expressed gratitude for the love and affection he received from the people of Peren district and also shared the journey that he experienced during his tenure as DC, a DIPR report stated.
Commending the administrative officers, HoD and CSO of Peren district for their support and cooperation, Kumar mentioned that the district witnessed various developments and was able to address some major challenging issues during his tenure. He encouraged them to maintain the same relation with the new DC.
Hiazu Meru, the new deputy commissioner, in his speech, appealed to all the HoD, tribal hobos and civil societies to extend fullest support and cooperation to him as well as the district administration so that the vision of the government is implemented.

He also lauded the outgoing DC for his immense contributions for the development of Peren district and further extended his best wishes as he embark on his new assignment.
Representatives of various civil society organisations, administrative officers, HoD, DC staff and well-wishers also spoke during the farewell programme.
The programme concluded with a vote thanks delivered by the chairperson of the programme, Pauding Disuang, EAC of Peren headquarters.
