DIMAPUR — An orange farm school was inaugurated at Kandinu in Tseminyu district by Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) functionaries of Chunlikha block on Thursday.
According to a press release, the resource person on the occasion, Khatemenla, Block Technology Manager, explained to the attendees the concept of farm school and how it can benefit progressive and marginal farmers by serving as a common platform for sharing scientific and indigenous technical knowledge.
Chenobu Seb, assistant technology manager (ATM), briefed the farmers on scientific practices for orange cultivation, while ATM Kebegi Kent conducted a hands-on demonstration on the preparation of bordeaux mixture. An interactive session was led by ATM Sinlo Khing.
After the programme, farmers were distributed lime, copper sulphate, and bio-pesticide. In total, eleven farmers attended the programme.
