NU Sociology department concludes 10-day RMC

DIMAPUR — The department of Sociology, Nagaland University (NU), conducted a 10-day Research Methodology Course (RMC) in Social Sciences from May 21 to the 31st which was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).

According to a press release, the valedictory programme was held at the conference hall of the department of Sociology, Nagaland University (NU), Lumami Campus, chaired by Dr. Sandeep Gupta.

In his speech at the programme as the guest of honour, M S Rawat, Dean of Sciences at NU, commended the organisers’ meticulous efforts in conducting the course and urged all participants to enhance their research skills for a successful career.

Reflecting on the course, Dr. Dipika Paul, course co-director, noted on the occasion that the organisers received an overwhelming number of applicants from across the country.

In his closing remarks, Athungo Ovung, course director, expressed gratitude to ICSSR for sponsoring the course and to the university for the support.

It was mentioned that throughout the course, lectures were delivered by resource persons from various premier institutions.
