NU implements one-time relaxation 2nd, 4th semester students

DIMAPUR — Based on the appeals submitted by the Nagaland College Principals’ Association (NCPA) and the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU), the Nagaland University has informed all affiliated colleges (Undergraduate Programme) that it has resolved to undertake moderation of the 2nd Semester results as a special case.

Further, the University has taken a considerate decision to allow progression of students to the subsequent semester i.e. 2nd to 3rd Semester and 4th to 5th Semester with maximum 3 backlogs as a one-time relaxation, the NU Vice Chancellor stated in a notification on Wednesday.

The special moderation and one-time relaxation of progression criterion are permitted in view of Even Semester examination 2024 being the first examination conducted with external evaluation post implementation of NEP 2020 and as such these measures should not be treated as a precedent in the future, it said.
