DIMAPUR — The Kohima district administration, in collaboration with the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), launched the coaching programme for the first batch of NSSB coaching under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall, on Monday.

In his address, Chumroba J Sangtam, managing director of Keystone Coaching Institute, emphasised the institute’s commitment to bridging educational gaps through structured mentorship, a DIPR report stated.

Sangtam informed that Keystone has a strong track record, with experienced teachers and a history of students achieving excellent results. He urged the girls to seize the opportunity, work hard and make their families proud. He also expressed gratitude to the district administration for selecting Keystone to guide and train the students.

Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, encouraged the participants to strive for success, noting that once they succeed, they should become brand ambassadors for the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative.

He highlighted the programme as a stepping stone towards a brighter future and urged the girls to collaborate, compete healthily, and remain focused on their goals. Ramnikant also reminded the students to prioritise their health and persevere through challenges.

Moasunep Jingru, EAC Development, also spoke at the event, motivating the girls to attend classes diligently, form study groups, and create a positive study environment. He encouraged them to empower themselves and their peers.

The programme was chaired by Kesoneinuo Kense, gender specialist at DHEW.  A total of 35 girls registered for the first batch of NSSB coaching.

The coaching programme aims to equip young women with the tools and knowledge to succeed in competitive exams and shape their future.
