NSF Trophy: Wins for Yhome, United Piphema

KOHIMA — A Yhome FC and United FC Piphema won their respective matches on Thursday in the ongoing 23rd NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy played at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

In the first match, Yhome FC defeated NK Brothers FC blanked their rivals 11-0. Yhoto scored an impressive double hat-trick in the 7th, 12th, 15th, 56th, 60th, and 79th minutes.

Kethoshelie contributed 2 goals in the the 20th and 40th minutes. Vilhoubeituo, Avilie and Metshetsho also added a goal each in the the 9th, 39th, and 73rd minutes.

Yhoto received the man of the match award, presented by Viketoulie Solo, the general secretary of Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO).

In the second match, United FC Piphema defeated Reipicüzie FC Mezoma by a score of 5 goals. Ayen was the star scores with four goals in the 16th, 66th, 74th, and 76th minutes.

Bris Taro added another goal in the 46th minute.

Ayen was named the man of the match, and the award was presented by Khriesamhailie David Mere, the president of Angami Students’ Union (ASU).
