NSDCF organises training for dairy farmers

DIMAPUR — Nagaland State Dairy Cooperative Federation (NSDCF) conducted a training for dairy farmers on ‘Quality and clean milk production-cum-fertility management’ on April 13 in Viswema village under Kohima district.

An update from the federation stated that the programme was chaired by Keleselie of Vikhotole WDCS, while an invocation prayer was said by Akhotso. A short speech was delivered Dr. Joseph M Angami, NSDCF project director, wherein he apprised the dairy farmers on the importance of producing clean and quality milk and management of the dairy cattle.

During the technical session, Dr. Tuolie Peseyie, plant manager, and Dr. Medo-u Wetsah, supervisor, spoke on “Dairy cattle management and fertility management” and “Clean milk production” respectively. Besides, a hands-on demonstration and distribution of kits to the dairy farmers was carried out by Zapove Swuro, project coordinator, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Virahole.
