Dimapur, Dec. 8 (EMN): The Naga army of the NSCN(K) has terminated eight cadres who were allegedly found indulging in extortion from various establishments across Nagaland.
According to a NSCN’s statement issued by MIP, the terminated cadres under Konyak region are Capt. Nyemlao from Chenmo village, 2nd Liet. Angmeang from Totk/ Chingha village, 2nd Liet. Eangba from Pessao village, Sgt. Maj. Khamhi from Longwa village and Corp. Chingkem from Totok village, Capt. Hekai from Longson village under Woncho region, and Capt. Thronkiuba from Shepong village under Yimchung region. It has also terminated official from civil organisation namely Panjan from Maihoa village under Wancho region.
Meanwhile, NSCN(K) also claimed that Capt. Boto Awomi, who was sent back to his parents organisation (NSCN(R) as per the anti-defection agreement between the NNPGs, is still found to be engaged in intimidation and extortion activities in and around Kohima and Dimapur claiming to be NSCN/GPRN-K member.
It, therefore, cautioned that no further warning would be issued but initiate immediate punitive action. It further urged the NSCN(R) authority to immediately rein-in their errant cadre.
