Dimapur, March 22 (EMN): NSCN (Khango/ Isak) observed the 43rd republic day-cum-joint consultative meeting with its senior party workers and army officers at its ceasefire office in 3rd Mile, Dimapur, with its ato kilonser, Col. (retired) Isak Sumi, as the chief guest on March 22 on the theme ‘Current political scenario.’
The programme was chaired by its chief secretary, Vikheho Assumi, while the invocation prayer was said by joint secretary, Tiatemsu, joint secretary.
A NSCN’s statement through its MIP stated that the chief guest hoisted the Naga national flag and observed a one minute silent prayer in remembrance of those martyrs and departed comrades.
The ato kilonser has enlightened the gathering on the Indo-Naga peace process and stated that the interlocution stage was over and the dialogue has been completed since October 31, 2019. He stated that the ball is now in the court of the GOI and all of the Nagas are ready and prepared to accept the solution as envisioned in the draft agreement ‘Agreed Position” signed between the GOI and NNPG and Nagas as a whole on November 17, 2017.
The ato kilonser also urged all the workers to once again recommit and rededicate themselves to God and stand true to the commitment ‘Nagaland for Christ’ in spirit and in action.
‘We must set an exemplary life and inspire others to the true call of the nation by reflecting our patriotic zeal both in action and spirit. True absolution and liberation can be achieved only by imbibing the sacrifices of Christ on the cross,’ Isak Sumi said.
