NSCM (IM) leader Th Muivah recovering well after minor surgery

Dimapur, March 9 (EMN): General Secretary of NSCM (IM) Thuingaleng Muivah, who has been undergoing treatment at the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) hospital in Dimapur after undergoing a minor surgery, is said to be “recovering well”.

 A doctor from the hospital informed this newspaper that Muivah is doing fine and recovering well, and “he is able to eat now”.

The doctor added that he will have to stay in hospital for ‘few more days’ but could not ascertain when he will be discharged.

The 88-year-old NSCN (IM) leader was airlifted from Hebron on March 4 “due to a minor health issue attributed to indigestion” and underwent a successful minor surgery at CIHSR on the following day.

It may be mentioned that Muivah was admitted to the same hospital on July 24 last year over health complications and was discharged on August 2.
