Northern Sumi Sub-Region of NSCN (U) joins NSCN (Khango)
DIMAPUR — The Northern Sumi Sub-Region of NSCN (U) has joined NSCN (Khango) en bloc, led by RAO, with the confidence of all the members of the region.
According to a press release received here, the members expressed their allegiance to re-dedicate to the spirit of nationalism and work under the leadership of President Lieut. Gen. (Retd.) Khango Konyak and Ato Kilonser Hokato Vusshe.
They also expressed unhappiness over the continuous split within NSCN (U) for the “leadership manipulation game and personal financial gain since the group formed in 2007,” which, according to the release, adversely threatens the Nagas national cause at large.
It said that the members realised that it was fruitless to work in the Unification group without any progress in the political agenda, thereby describing it as an “unorganised group”.
“In the meantime, the contributions of the CSO’s, churches, intellectuals, national workers and the entire general public of their region cannot be erased from the annals of Naga history as a victim for the interests of a certain group of people so called representing Naga peoples,” it read.
