Dimapur, Feb. 2 (EMN): As part of observing the national road safety month, Noklak police organised a seminar on road safety at Thang old council hall in Noklak village on February 1 on the theme ‘Sadak Suraksha-Jeevan Raksha’.
A DIPR report stated that the Noklak superintendent of police, Dr. Pritpal Kaur has explained the three arms of driving- driver, machine and road and bridges. She elaborated on driving license, registration, insurance, emissions test certificate, mobile and alcohol usage and sense of humanity.
The police officer stated that the certificate of fitness and all necessary permits should be properly maintained in case of transport vehicles. She also elaborated on signs, symbols and traffic rules, do’s and don’ts and punishment under IPC and MV Act. She also imparted hands-on demonstration on first aid responses.
Later, Kaur flagged-off the bikers club rally of Frontier Royal Enfield RE enbloc.
It stated that short speeches were delivered by TRPO president, Hangthing, and the president of Frontier Royal Enfield RE enbloc, Changkamba Chang.
ASI S Phee also spoke on motor vehicle act, while the project manager of TI project, Noklak, J Khumong spoke on prophylaxis and first aid.
The programme was chaired by SI Mongthei, while the welcome address was delivered by MDU advisor, Noklak.
A free medical camp for drivers was also conducted at the venue by the 45th Assam Rifles, Noklak.
