KOHIMA— Minister for Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along on Monday said that Nagaland Cabinet will contemplate on the further course of action in connection with the vandalisation of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) office in the early hours of Saturday.

Imna Along, who is also the president of the BJP state unit, addressed a press conference at the BJP Head Office in Kohima in the backdrop of NSF staging sit-in over the demolition of its office by the Naga Club.

“The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has been an apex body since the inception of the Naga story; it is legitimate and anger is also justified. It is not only their anger as the NSF and also right-thinking citizens,” he said.

He also expressed confidence that the state government machinery is working towards uphold justice in the case.

‘There are many versions that are coming out now, but no version justifies the destroying of the house or the office of the Naga Students’ Federation,’ stated the minister.

He added that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has been apprised of the incident though he is currently Delhi. ‘I am sure when he comes back to the state in the next few days, under his leadership, the cabinet will surely contemplate on further course of action”.

Until then, the police are taking their course of action towards identifying the culprits, he added.
