Dimapur, June 14 (EMN): For the comfort and convenience of passengers, the Indian Railways has withdrawn the restriction on the supply of linen and blankets in trains starting March, 2022.
An update from the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) issued on June 14 informed that such restrictions were earlier imposed in view of the COVID-19 pandemic towards Standard Operating Protocol for the movement of passengers by trains.
The NFR is said to have already resumed these services for few trains originating from Katihar and Alipurduar divisions from March and April onwards.
The NFR employees is said to be working overtime to make sure that the supply of linen and blankets is being done in a phased manner and to ensure that proper and fresh quality of linen is being procured.
