NCC Combined Annual Training Camp concludes
Faculty and cadets during the 72nd Combined Annual Training Camp for the training year 2024-25 at Sainik School Punglwa.

DIMAPUR — Nagaland (NL) Independent (I) Sainik School Company NCC organised its 72nd Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-72) for the training year 2024-25 from October 11 to the 20th at Sainik School Punglwa.

According to an update, during the ten-day camp, the cadets received basic knowledge in weapon training, weapon display, firing, disaster management, tent pitching, fire fighting, skill development, cyber security, prevention of HIV&AIDS, and first aid, among other topics.

The conduct of drills, volleyball, basketball, tug of war, and cultural programme competitions were other highlights of the camp.

A total of 177 cadets participated, including 80 from the junior division (JD) – Army and 97 from the senior division (SD) – Army, representing Sainik School Punglwa, St. Joseph’s College Jakhama, Tetso College, Dimapur Government College, Peren Government College, and Modern College Piphema.

One associate NCC officer, three caretaker officers, along with permanent NCC instructors from Sainik School Punglwa and 24 Nagaland NCC Battalion Kohima, were part of the camp.

It was mentioned that the entire strength was divided into Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie companies. The closing ceremony was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Amit Chaudhary, Officer Commanding NL (I) Sainik School Coy NCC and the overall best trophy was awarded to Charlie (C) Coy.
