Nayudu Trophy: Delhi on top of Nagaland

DIMAPUR — Nagaland were on the backfoot against Delhi on day 2 of the ongoing Col. CK Nayudu Trophy match at St. Stephen’s Ground, New Delhi.

A press release informed that at stumps, Delhi were 119 for no loss, trailing Nagaland by 121 runs after a strong start to their first innings. Nagaland had earlier posted a total of 240 all out in their first innings, led by a resilient knock from Sujal Prasad.

Toss: Nagaland won the toss and elected to bat first.

Nagaland – Innings 1:

•             Score: 240 all out in 63.3 overs

o             Sujal Prasad: Scored a crucial 69 runs off 96 balls

o             Rounak Waghela (Delhi): claimed  7 wickets for 54 runs in 20.3 overs.

Delhi – Innings 1:

•             Score: 119/0 in 26.0 overs (Stumps Day 1)

o             Arpit Rana: Unbeaten on 60* off 82 balls,

o             Sujal Singh: Supported well with 56* off 77 balls,
