Nagaland: Western Chakhesang Students’ Union conducts career guidance programme
Kohima, June 13 (EMN): The Western Chakhesang Students’ Union (WCSU) conducted a career guidance programme on the theme “Discovering the diverse opportunities” with an aim to broaden and pave the way for students with career options at WCBCC Mission Centre, 7th Mile, Chümoukedima on June 11.
The resource persons were Jenpu Rhakho Rongmei (Founder and Functionary, Can Youth and Buna Enterprise), Kevethito Rose (EAC, Peren Hqs.), Rev. Dr. Chekrovei Cho-o (Prof. of Applied Theology, OTS, Bade, Dimapur), Dr. Michael Tetseo, MBBS (MO, CHC Jalukie) and Zhokhoi Chüzho (Bollywood actor).
The resource persons enlightened the students about entrepreneurship/skill development, civil services, theology, medical profession and entertainment industry and shared about the struggles and challenges faced by them.
They further challenged the students to be more determined, work hard and have the right competitive attitude and skills. The programme was followed by a discussion and question hour.
During the programme, WCSU also felicitated the toppers of the recently declared results of HSLC and HSSLC by NBSE with certificate and cash.
The recipients include – Neitele Therie, daughter of Mhasizo Therie for securing 20th rank in the HSLC examination and Eriteu Khape, daughter of late Welhipe Khape for securing 6th rank with subject topper in music (HSSLC).
Earlier, welcome address was delivered by WCSU president Nuvoto Lohe. The programme was chaired by WCSU Vice President Menulo Letro.
