Training for Wokha EEM team on March 7
DIMAPUR — Ajit Kumar Ranjan, the DC and district election officer for Wokha, has informed that a training programme for all government servants who have been appointed to the district’s election expenditure monitoring (EEM) team in connection with the upcoming general election to the Lok Sabha is scheduled for 11 am on March 7 at the DC conference hall in Wokha. In this regard, all concerned have been asked to attend the training programme without fail.
AGOK’s 41st general conference on March 7
DIMAPUR — The 41st general conference of the Angami Gazetted Officers’ Krotho (AGOK) is scheduled to be held at AGOK Badze, Meriema, Kohima, at 10:30 am on March 7. The advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, will be the chief guest at the conference, according to an update. All AGOK members from NAGOK, SAGOK, WAGOK, and CGOK have been requested to attend the programme.
Committee of Estimates meeting convened
DIMAPUR — K Tokugha Sukhalu, chairman of the Committee on Estimates, has scheduled an introductory-cum-oral evidence meeting with the government departments for March 7 and 8 at 11 am in the committee room of the Assembly Secretariat in Kohima. All the members of the committee have been urged to attend the meeting as scheduled.
Arms licence scrutiny ahead of polls in Kohima
DIMAPUR — In view of the ensuing general election to the Lok Sabha, DC and DEO Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant has informed all arms licence holders in Kohima district to produce the arms licence for verification at the nearest police stations as per the address given in the arms licence on or before March 15. A DIPR report mentioned that failure to comply with it would lead to the cancellation of arm licence and other penal action as per the relevant section of the law.
Assam Rifles holds security meet
DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised a security coordination meeting at Mimi village in Kiphire district on Monday. According to an update, a total of 17 stakeholders from twelve villages attended. The meeting emphasised the importance of coordination between society and Assam Rifles. All attendees were briefed about their role in nation-building, with particular emphasis on educating youth about the harmful effects of drugs and strategies for prevention. Matters such as deterring youth from joining underground cadres and prioritising the nation’s welfare were also highlighted.
