Nagaland In-Service Doctors’ Association keeps its proposed mass casual leave in abeyance
Dimapur, March 5 (EMN): The Nagaland In-Service Doctors’ Association (NIDA) has kept its decision to go on a mass casual leave in abeyance following appeal from the minister of Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom.
The NIDA had earlier decided to go on a mass casual leave from March 7 to the 9th in protest against the state government’s indecision on the superannuation issue.
Through a press release, the association said the Health minister had conveyed through a letter that ‘the matter would be taken up by the government on a serious note and assured to give his best effort to ensure that the state government address the matter with urgency’.
‘Taking cognizance of the minister’s appeal and having full confidence on his commitment to resolve the long-standing issue, the NIDA has decided to keep the proposed mass casual leave in abeyance until the issue is resolved within the assured stipulated time,’ it said.
