Nagaland Election 2023: JD (U) open to post-poll alliance
Janata Dal United (JD-U) Nagaland on Sunday announced that it is open to a post-poll alliance with like-minded parties in the formation of the next government of the state.
A statement issued by JD (U) media and publicity cell said that it has decided not to have seat-sharing alliance with any political party but to have an “open mind” for post-poll-alliance ‘to usher in better administration and good governance to secure the welfare of the state and its people’.
With the announcement of election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, the JD (U) conveyed its “preparedness to contest in the ongoing electioneering process with an open mind so as to ensure free and fair election”.
“The electorates must be given a congenial atmosphere to choose their own representatives without coercion or use of money,” it added.
