Nagaland appeals to retired health personnel, medical students to volunteer

Dimapur, March 31 (EMN): In an extraordinary development to mobilise more medical workers to combat the coronavirus pandemic, the government of Nagaland has appealed to retired medical and health personnel, and medical students to volunteer for humanitarian service.    

The directorate of Health and Family Welfare issued an unusual statement on Tuesday appealing to retired government health workers, and final year and postgraduate students to volunteer in the state’s effort to stem the spread of the pandemic.

‘In this extraordinary times of Covid-19 pandemic, the department of Health and Family Welfare Nagaland would like to appeal to all the retired personnel of the medical fraternity such as medical doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, radiographer, pharmacists, etc and also the medical students in the final year as well as postgraduate students who are at home, to consider to volunteer and lend a helping hand in service of the people of Nagaland,’ the health and family welfare establishment stated.

Members of the medical fraternity who would like to volunteer to deliver humanitarian services may submit their ‘willingness’ details in the following format:
